We need to know ways of remaining solid like the earth, not soaked by every light shower and or knocked over by every little gust of wind.
I spotted this weather forecasting stone outside a beach cafe 7 years ago when we lived in Singapore. A replica of said stone and post now stands in our garden in Perth.
Now most of us know that Singapore has the same weather every day.
It’s either hot and humid or it’s hot, raining and even more humid.
So in Singapore someone was having a laugh as it only really needed two options on the board- the stone was only ever going to be wet or dry and hanging in a straight line on its cord.
When we moved back to Australia I had one built and we had every weather except a tornado. Yes we even had a small earthquake in Adelaide. The irony of the stone was not lost on me as we were flooded, soaked, blown about and generally lost all our footing during our family’s crisis.
The only way I wasn’t continually going to be blown this way and that, soaked by every storm and pulled up by my shallow roots was to work out what bloody message was the universe trying to tell me?
So ‘THE THREE THINGS YOU WANT TO KNOW’
1. If you don’t listen to the messages from the universe the kick from the universe gets harder until you do and it hurts.
2. If you don’t look after your health then your body gives you warning signs in the form of pain, illness, inflammation and disease. This is the body giving you signs “I AM NOT HAPPY PLEASE LISTEN.’
3. The only way you can find your own peace and happiness is to find it inside. No one else can do that for you. If you want to weather every storm, stay firm in your foundations and not swing this way and that like a feather then stop looking outside.
We have moved again since then and the board, rock and solid frame are a bit more weathered. But it is a reminder of “THE THREE THINGS YOU WANT TO KNOW-
Stay strong in who you are, carry your own umbrella and keep the wind in your sails to get you to where you want to go.
