I have found that society and social pressures from family and friends can make us feel that we need to conform, to fit in the box of what is considered acceptable. But we are born free and our natural state is to be abundant in all areas of our life.
I remember that time when I was in school and I was continually told to leave the classroom because I asked too many questions. I was told I talked too much but I was just excited to learn more.
I only ever wanted to follow the road to the freedom of what I wanted. It was why I dropped out of uni and tried umpteen numbers of jobs before I found what I really wanted to do.
I have found that it is always better to be yourself. To be authentic and keep connected to your heart and listen to what it is telling you. However hard that might be.
The value I received from not conforming was it made me all the more determined to follow what felt right and keep in the driver seat of my own car.
I knew I didn’t want a boss and I didn’t want to be constantly looking at the clock waiting to go home.
I wanted life to be on my terms and have a life of adventure, freedom and to go in the direction of my dreams.
Why?
Because I believed it was the only way to live. It was the only way to be truly abundant in every area of life. I have always seen how ease and flow happened when I matched the energy and intention to what I wanted to invite into my life.
These last few months with freedom of travel gone I have felt like someone handcuffed me to the nearest fence. Like everyone else I have felt its challenges. It has felt at times like I have been put in a bottle with the cork on and shaken up. This cork is ready to explode.
So I want to show you how to manage what you feel you can’t control outside by turning within. This is where to come back to each time when the going gets tough outside.
The last few months especially I have done this on a big scale. Not able to go anywhere I retreated inside and drew on my inner reserves. I put all my energy into self-development and personal growth. With all the negativity and chaos around the world I knew that if I did the work then this affects everyone else on this planet as well. Everything we do affects others. It’s a ripple effect.
I knew that if I kept working on my own growth and keeping my vibration and energy high then it would only be a matter of time that I would connect with more people doing the same. And they arrived in the form of an online community of people. Positive, high energy people committed to being the best versions of themselves and in turn spreading that love and vibration out to the world.
I learnt that whatever is going on outside it’s how we react to it that determines whether we stay with our hands on the wheel. If we shift the direction by only a tiny fraction then we end up in an entirely different destination.
If doing the work inside is just too hard for you right now then that is okay.
Love everything and love comes back in spades.
